This Privacy Policy explains how KiteCast ("we", "us", the "app") handles information. We have designed KiteCast to collect as little as possible.
KiteCast does not require an account and does not ask you to provide any personal information. We do not collect your name, email address, or contacts through the app. KiteCast does not request or use your device location.
To show forecasts, the app requests wind and weather data for the spot you select from our backend service (kitecast-backend.fly.dev). These requests include the spot identifier and standard technical information (such as IP address) that any internet request involves. We do not use this information to identify you.
If you enable wind alerts, your device provides an anonymous push notification token (issued by Apple) to our backend so we can send you alerts. This token does not identify you personally and is used solely to deliver the notifications you requested. You can turn off notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
KiteCast does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell your data.
KiteCast is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
